With her keen intellect and infectious smile, Abby Shields is the oil that keeps the cogs of Ferreus moving. She juggles the thousands of administrative tasks that are required to keep us moving forward.

By coordinating with Production, she gets the materials and supplies in the door using Just in Time (Just in Case) methodology; allowing us to plan for the unforeseen without encumbering Ferreus with bloated stock and inventory management. She ensures that that the paperwork meets the stringent AS9100D requirements, pays the bills, provides vital employee communication and coordinates between every department. There isn’t anything at Ferreus that isn’t in some way affected by the work she does.

Part Human Resources Manager, part Financial Manager, a dash of Customer Relations, Morale Committee Chair, and a seemingly endless list of other roles, Abby’s attention to detail and hard work allow her to fill all of these roles with aplomb! Holding a BS in Family Science and a minor in Business Management, she is uniquely qualified to fill the role that she has settled into. She keeps our Ferreus Family running smooth and allowing sales to focus on sales and production to focus on delivering to the customer. Her history as a personal banker gives her keen insight into the requirements of bank finance.

With her eye towards the future, she works on self-improvement by consuming personal improvement and business development literature. She is always looking for ways to make herself and everyone around her better!
